I Know I Promised To Stay Away..

But, inspired by the latest example of style heinousness in my classroom, this must go out as a note to everyone irrespective of gender, though I don't think anyone who needs it will read this:
When you wear a shirt with buttons down the front, please make sure that
a) those buttons, or as many of them as are needed to preserve decency, are CLOSED. Unless you want to flash cleavage/chest hair at the world.
b) when you do close the buttons, please make sure that the fabric between them stays in a relatively straight line over your chest. Translated into English: if you need a bigger size shirt, bloody well get one. I really don't need to know what your bra looks like, and the gaps between your shirt buttons are not sexy at all, just gross.

Hey! I take offence! I like to leave the top button undone, unless it's a formal setting. And unless it's winter.

And need we ask - pictures... especially if there're bras involved :D

Hehehe. Perakath showing off your chest hair eh?

By "top" button I'm assuming you mean the 2nd button, because no normal person buttons the top button, unless a necktie is involved.

@Lemontartlet: Can this really be something that pisses you off?

Sorry, I should've been clearer, I meant the second button, the actual top button doesn't count as one at all for me.
I wish I could be clearer about this, but I think my snarking about it online is as much as the girl in question deserves- she happens to be a classmate.

And hey, I said as many buttons as are needed to preserve decency..no mention of top buttons at all.

(Perakath mentioned top button.)

Oh well, decency is in the eye of the observer, but in the hands of the wearer!

Let's have it out straight - are you jealous of her? Or think she's slightly slutty? :)

Interesting questions...and no is the answer to both. She's actually a fairly normally dressed person , most days- I could understand if she wore slutty things as a matter of policy- I'd still be aesthetically offended, but look elsewhere. This was an otherwise perfectly decent shirt that looked like it shrank in the laundry.

Hmm. In your experience, have I ever committed any such fashion faux pas?

Not that I've had much opportunity to observe, but no :)

Thank goodness.

You know, your multicolored sweater makes more sense now... (as in earlier I didn't know you were into fashion...)
