Piv playing mommy to a white lion cub? And getting to show us that darling goofy smile of hers along the way? Adorable might just be the word for it. Even when the cub looks grumpy (picture 5), though it seems to like her (last pic).
EDIT: geekgirl was sweet enough to tell me, on here, that the cub (a lion cub, I guess that settles the question of what it was) was a six-week old named Sheila, whom she got to meet when Sheila was en route to the photoshoot. Methinks Sheila makes a great model..

You post such wonderful pictures, my lovely!
I adore these and wish I had a white lion cub - the ultimate accessory of 2008, perhaps!?
Last picture is gorgeous!
I love the styling of Melanie Huynh. She always looks great in person too!
LOVE IT
That shoot is beyond gorgeous. Sasha looks glowing and angelic and I like the mute color palette and the bright bursts of blue.
Who's the hot chick? Piv?
Sasha is gorgeous in here.
I'm so in love with this shoot. Visual love.

Great Banksy exhibit!
Nothing to do with the cub-weilding model though. What's her name? She definitely has "it"-ness.
Elisabeth: Yup, I want me a white tiger/lion cub(I tend towards thinking it's a stripeless white tiger cub) now! Though I don't think the zoo will give me one, I'll just have to settle with reading Born Free instead.
The Clothes Horse: It could have been quite an ordinary studio shoot, but putting the cub in just elevated it to the level of genius. Trust Vogue Paris..
Yohan: The cub-wielding model's name is Sasha Pivovarova. One of the best ones to turn up in this decade, IMO.
Vogue Paris is what makes American Vogue look 'American'. It's some sort of creative comfort zone American Vogue can't get out of...
I still love Sasha P.
That is so adorable! I like Sasha as a blonde but I think she's better as a brunette, but I am too distracted by her antics with the lion cub to really think about it.
I love this editorial. Love the stark colours, in a way
oh wowww, I saw some of the photos here and there, but I am super glad that you've decided to post more...
Would you all be terribly jealous if I said that I got the chance to love on the self same white lion cub as she passed through on her way to NYC for this photo shoot? :-)
Oh, so it was a lion cub after all? Was she as friendly as she looks in the pictures...and yes, I'm jealous :)
Yep, she's a white lion named Sheila - one of only 25 in the US. She was about six weeks old in those pictures (taken in September), and very friendly and playful. Of course, when she's full grown and 700 lbs, it might be a different story... :-P
Is that Sheila in your profile pic? And who's to say she won't be as nice to humans when she's fully grown? That is, if Born Free is anything to go by...but she's adorable.
Yep, that's her, just a few days before the photo shoot. She definitely is adorable! :-)
