Spot The Resemblance, Yet Again.

Hair and makeup at Christian Dior SS09 (boring rich-girl clothes, awesome hair+makeup)
Yuuko, the Witch of Dimensions in xxxHolic, Volume 4.

This isn't the first time I've thought it, but if CLAMP ever took to offering styling services/designing clothes for real girls and not just manga ones, I'd probably be first in line among the screaming fangirls to get them. I love me a nice wardrobe... even a two-dimensional one.

Wendy: You should see the other hairstyles they get the witch into, sometimes...awesome all around.
Romeika: Thank you! (I'm also glad no one thinks I'm crazy for suggesting it)
Urbanita: Well-drawn manga is like nothing else, I find :)
Yoshi: I'm glad someone else likes the idea too
A Dreamer: I never really got into the Oh My Goddess storyline, but I see what you mean about the clothes..
ENC: Yes, it really is great hair :)

I'm all about that hair... Even with the messy bangs. If I left mine looking like that, I look like a witch haha :)

It wouldn't surprise me if Galliano did pull that reference....

I think I grew my hair long so that I could do things like with it, but it's never really that easy is it...I guess that's to be expected. Also, have you ever realized how long hair in mangas doesn't look as awkward as it does in real life?

That might also be African-influenced. (i.e. Zulu hairstyle). One example here:
