Frilled Lizard, on a rock somewhere wearing its own skin Jourdan Dunn, on the cover of POP wearing Prada.
Of course, one could also say the headdress on the cover looks a tiny bit like a Queen Amidala costume, but the lizard was what first came to mind for me.

Your post made me LOL in front of my laptop on Sunday morning! (:
Ha-ha! That headdress is terrible.
heheh.
actually, what the dress reminds me of is one of those peace doves that'd been released, only to fly smack into the back of her head.
so, you see the wings and the tail.. its head is buried into the nape of her neck/skull.
kind of reminds me of a cartoon bird going SPLAT! on a glass door.
Funny!
Well...that was my least fave Pop cover but thanks for giving me the reason why that is so....
i just noticed that the writing on the cover looks remarkably like the work of Pablo Ferro on the titles of Dr. Strangelove (and later Stop Making Sense)..
Good catch, that's hilarious!
hahaha! so true!
HAH! Too right.
Ha!Genius.
The lizard looks like he's laughing at the likeness too
the flying nun...
